Friday Favorites

January 20, 2017

It's been a bit of a somber week, with all the emotional goodbyes to our 44th President and his family. I've looked at countless videos and photos of the family--my favorites are of the girls through the years, and of Barack and Michelle laughing together and just being in love--and I've grown more and more emotional with each one. I am sad to see this First Family leave the White House, and I would be remiss if I didn't express how proud I am to have voted for him and to have watched history being made. I would also be remiss if I didn't send a big, nasty woman thank you to all the women, men, and children who are participating in the Women's March this weekend! I'll be busy with family events, but I will be standing in solidarity with all of my sisters across the country and around the world who are marching on Saturday. Have a wonderful weekend, and God bless!

Olive oil and sea salt brownie cookies for which I currently have all the required ingredients. Coincidence? I think not.

A lovely spot to have my morning coffee.
