DIY Hydrating Hair Masque

March 4, 2014

When it comes to the drying effects of the harsh, cold weather, many of us treat our skin with fancy moisturizers, but we neglect our hair. If your poor tresses are in need of some loving, here's a so simple, yet ultra nourishing hair masque to replenish and refresh strands that have gotten a little beaten up during this brutal winter.

Hydrating Hair Masque
1 small avocado, peeled and cut into chunks
3 tablespoons olive oil

Place the avocado chunks and olive oil into a food processor and pulse until smooth. You could also use an electric mixer or simply smash together by hand if you don't have a food processor. Apply the hair masque to wet or dry hair, cover, and leave in for at least 20 minutes (you'll achieve the best results if you leave in overnight). Rinse and shampoo as usual.

  1. Wow this sounds pretty easy! I do need a good deep conditioning for sure. Though not sure if I could pull off over night. Haha and Lupita looked stunning as usual at the Oscars.
