Talk About It: Are You a Shopaholic?
June 28, 2013
Since having to do most of the packing for our move my husband is now claiming that we have way too much stuff; on the flip side, I'm looking around our new house thinking of all the things I need to buy to make it a home. And yes, while our decent-sized closet isn't nearly big enough to house all my clothes and accessories, much less his, I can't help but plot about future shopping trips after baby Golden makes her debut in a few weeks. That's right--I'm a bit of a shopaholic. I'm nothing like the character in a Sophie Kinsella novel, but oh, how I love to shop!
What about you? Do you consider yourself a shopaholic? And if so, what's your weakness? Do you whip out the plastic at the first hint of a shoe sale, or do home interiors make your heart flutter? I want to hear all about your shopping vices, girls!

I'm a total shopaholic! I'm a budget shopaholic, i love finding deals. Now that I am a Mommy to a beautiful daughter, I've turned into a baby shopaholic! I stay looking at mommy fashion bloggers, fashion on instsgram, those member only online stores, & don't get me started about browsing the aisles of target, h&m, or my local Ross or TJ Maxx! The hubby complains about how much I spend, but now I justify by saying it's for the baby (oh and I usually throw in a couple of things for myself. Hehehe).
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way about sales and great deals--love 'em! And I LOVE shopping for my little girl. My hubby's in trouble now that baby girl #2 will be here soon. But I gotta admit, it doesn't stop there...I'm also really into buying stuff for the house (like servingware for dinner parties and cake stands). The list goes on.
DeleteNo shopaholic here!!! But I am a receive-a-holic!!! I love accepting second hand items. One womans trash is Nikki's treasure. :-) But like u Angy, i have way too much stuff Im noy utilizing. Its time to bless someone else with my donations!!!
ReplyDeleteI adore shopping at second-hand stores for cool, unique finds. I got a fur coat for $10 from a thrift store in Palm Springs! I've also gotten some really good deals from thrift stores in Vegas. Fun!
DeleteIt's funny how we claim to be a shopaholic once we had children. However, I think we have always been a shopaholic, now it is just more obvious. I LOVE to shop. If money were no object, I would definitely do it more often. I have learned to shop for deals; I love the aisles at Target. I have yet to truly venture out into member only online stores. When you start the shopaholics anonymous, I will definitely be a charter member! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you MUST try a members-only online sale. Totsy and Zulily are great for kids stuff; ideeli and hautelook have everything you could possibly want (clothes/accessories/home/kids/hubby, etc). You won't be sorry!
DeleteAh the red, white, and blue mustaches so cooI!!
