1. Wake up a little extra early and go get donuts before school.
2. Take them to see Hotel Transylvania 2, in theaters September 25.
3. Go rollerskating before it gets too cold.
4. Say a final farewell to the season and watch a summer-themed movie like Teen Beach or Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer.
5. Celebrate National Ice Cream Cone Day on the 22.
6. Take them to get their own library cards (it's library card sign-up month).
7. Plan a trip to Chinatown (in a metropolitan area) to celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on the 27th this year.
8. Let them pick a new restaurant to try.
9. If the weather is still nice, go fishing.
10. Spend an hour or so burning energy at an indoor trampoline place.
11. Take a cab ride or a train ride or any means of transportation they've never experienced.
12. Have a good old fashioned pizza party.
13. Turn the volume up on the iPod and have an epic sing-a-long.
14. Paint pictures to donate to the children's hospital.
15. Grab some buckets and rags and wash the car together.
