Coming up with new ways to keep your little ones entertained can seem an impossible task at times, so each month I will offer up a few fun ideas that you and your children might enjoy. Have fun!
1. Shop for fresh produce, plus any other treats that look good, at a local farmer's market.
2. Play this silly game: stuff a designated number of marshmallow Peeps in your mouth and try to sing or whistle Twinkle Twinkle.
3. Have a picnic in the park.
4. Jump in rain puddles.
5. Bake cookies from scratch and take some to the neighbors.
6. Play Mad Libs. To get even more creative, write your own Mad Libs.
7. Build a fairy garden for Earth Day.
8. Use cookie cutters to turn their meals into fun shapes (e.g. sandwiches, quesadillas, pancakes).
9. Serve your children breakfast in bed.
10. Make paper flowers and decorate the front door with them.
11. Make or buy kites and teach your kids to fly them.
12. Get some sidewalk chalk and make murals outside.
13. Visit the zoo.
14. Have lunch at a real diner. And don't forget to order milkshakes!
15. Get a head start on Mother's Day and gather up all the art supplies in the house to make handmade gifts for grandmothers, aunts, friends, etc.

I would love to take the kiddos to the zoo, but the animals are always sleep when we've gone before, so I'm having a difficult time convincing hubby to go. On another note, you offer great ideas for this break !
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nik! I hope you have fun!
